need nutrition support?

Registered Dietitian & Functional Nutritionist

The world of nutrition is noisy. But with the right guidance, it doesn’t have to be.

As a compassionate dietitian, I combine evidence-based nutrition with practical, individualized plans to help clients feel in control, build sustainable habits, and make progress without shame, obsession, or one-size-fits-all plans.

We help you cut through the confusion and build lasting health—one habit at a time.

Personalized nutrition care rooted in science, compassion, and lab-informed solutions.

how we can work together

The most efficient way to reach your goals is to understand what’s happening below the surface. With labs, interpretation, & summary recommendations from a registered dietitian, we can get a better starting point to help us determine what your body needs most.

Lab Services

When you invest in a 6-session or 12-session package, we can go even deeper into your biggest questions and challenges.

Packages

During two individual sessions (one introductory & one follow-up), we’ll discuss your most pressing nutrition concerns and develop a plan that works for your life and unique circumstances.

1:1 Sessions

No matter which service is best for you, we’ll start with what’s actually going on and build from there

get to know me

Before I became a registered dietitian, I was the person trying to follow rigid plans and push through exhaustion because I thought health was just about “working hard.” I worked with an online coach who had allll of the confidence but none of the credentials (which I didn’t learn until later), and her poor advice left me about where you’d expect: undernourished, overtrained, and completely feeling worse than I did before meeting her.

It took years of my life and lots of unlearning to understand how much nuance real nutrition requires, especially for people managing health conditions like chronic illness, cardiovascular risk, metabolic concerns, or a generally complicated relationship with food.

Today, my work as a dietitian looks much different from the strict, one-size-fits-all coaching I trusted back in college. I don’t subscribe to the extremes or templated programs we see on social media, and I certainly don’t assume that simply “trying harder” is the answer. I want to help you understand what’s really going on in your body, and build something sustainable from there.

I’ve seen what extreme nutrition can do, and I’m not interested in putting you through that.

Hi, I’m Karen, MS, RD, CDN, IFNCP

“As a nurse with a hectic schedule, I struggled with meal prep and maintaining a healthy weight. Karen gave me simple, realistic strategies that fit my lifestyle, and I finally feel in control of my nutrition.”

Here’s what you might want to ask before getting started:

have questions?

Do you take insurance?

Insurance doesn’t cover the work I do with my clients. However, I offer flexible payment plans to make partnering on your nutrition work for your financial situation.

What’s the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?

Great question! A registered dietitian (AKA, me) is a credentialed health professional with formal training, licensure, certification, continuing education credits, and a code of ethics to honor.

“Nutritionist” isn’t a regulated term, which means anyone (including those without a license, certification, or formal education) can call themselves one. Unfortunately, this often leads to misinformation and unsafe practices that can put people’s health at risk.

Do you work with people who are on GLP-1s?

Definitely! I often work with individuals who need support with weight management or obesity, and I’m careful to consider any medications (including GLP-1s) in their nutrition plans.
